Global Auto Crisis: Auto parts and supplies shortage awaits car dealerships and factories

The colossal Japan’s earthquake and tsunami is disrupting the auto industry, especially in the parts and supplies sector. Car and truck buyers will have a hard time finding new vehicle models they like. The earthquake will also affect the slow-moving boats used to ship auto parts and supplies globally, thereby compounding the problem.

Japanese car manufacturers such as Nissan, Toyota, and Honda, will suffer huge losses in revenue. Crucial car supplies are already diminishing because the Japanese manufacturing plants are still struggling to get back into production mode.

One big impact of the earthquake on auto supplies market is a possible price increase on auto parts and supplies, and maybe, increased purchase price of new vehicles.
